My work is an attempt at finding a foothold in an indefinite world that's plagued by injustice, marginalization, and climatic catastrophe. Likewise, my paintings strive to ground my struggles with trauma and mental health. Through the process of creation, I forge a more sustainable relationship with my innermost self, and am able to hold my sorrows with a sense of compassion. I paint portraits of myself and others, while depicting my dreams and abstractions of my emotions. Bold colors stand out with the intensity of feelings, and the sensibility of being a human being during hard times.
