Stroma Studio & Art Gallery
Stroma is a SF Bay Area Multi media Studio and Art gallery based on the industrial waterfront in Benicia. It was started in 2020 by artist Andrew Palmer who wanted to create a space to showcase Bay Area artists and creative organizations. Stroma’s mission is to facilitate connections and networking opportunities for creative people from diverse disciplines - driving impact for Artists who may otherwise not be able to share their work widely.
Stroma leans on community. In a post-pandemic world we need each other and our artistic practice to shine more than ever. Inviting practitioners to showcase their work in a flexible, down to earth space, it also hopes to facilitate community involvement and engagement.
Andrew has over twenty years experience in the Arts both creating work in video and sound and as an educator teaching creative practices to a wide variety of students.
Stroma Art Gallery will be hosting 6 week long exhibitions showcasing 6 Bay Area artists.
We are looking to curate shows that will portray an eclectic combination of artworks from emerging and established local artists.
All mediums are welcome!
The studio has a viewing room enabling Video/ Film showings or Installation Work.
Each show will have an opening & closing event where artists will present themselves and they work, followed by artist talks & performances.
