Artist statement: I find joy in balancing the movement, composition, and color in a piece. To me, this process presents itself as a pleasurable problem to be solved each time, and is analogous to the process of helping my patients as a health care provider: each piece has its own multitude of influencing factors that must be held in mind simultaneously as I work with it towards a resolution.
